Jonathan grew up as a pastor’s son.  Through his father’s testimony and ministry, he accepted Christ at the age of 7.  He entered Bible College to gain more biblical knowledge and to wait on God’s leading.  While at college, Jonathan was able to serve in bus and children's ministries.  During his junior year, he felt God burdening him for missions and surrendered to serve God as a missionary. 

At the age of 7, Joanna felt the need to receive Christ and asked her father to guide her.  Soon after that, while listening to a missionary speak, she felt the Lord leading her into missions.  She grew up in church and was active in her youth group and children's ministries. She took her first mission trip after High School, then attended and graduated from Baptist Bible College with a degree in missions.

Jonathan and Joanna were married in August of 2005.  Together they have served Christ in a variety of ministries in the United States and abroad.  As English teachers, they lived and ministered in South Korea.  Jonathan was privileged to preach in church and on a radio program broadcast to millions of people throughout Asia. Joanna had the opportunity to sing, speak on the radio, and be involved in a woman’s Bible study.
