· Italy is home to more than 60 million people.  More than 88% of the population is Roman Catholic.

· Islam follows Roman Catholicism as Italy’s second largest religion.  (The city of Rome is the home to the largest Mosel mosque beyond Arab countries borders.)

· After Roman Catholicism and Islam, the third largest religion in Italy is Jehovah’s Witness.

· The church of Satan is a rapidly growing cult in Italy as well.  (Cults are a growing threat as a result of immigration.)

· There are an estimated 100,000 full-time consulting sorcerers and magicians in Italy.

· Less than 1% of the population is evangelical Christian and of those, very few of them are born again Christians.

· There are approximately 33,000 cities, towns, and villages.  Of them, only 1,500 currently have an evangelical church or missionary.
